Nice to know
Vienna born Count Graf Wenzel Robert von Gallenberg worked as musician and composer. Like Ludwig van Beethoven he was a student of Johann Georg Albrechtsberger (1736-1809). In 1803 the Count married Julie Guicciardi (1782-1856), a remote relative of the Brunsvik family. Before her marriage the bride had been a friend on Beethoven who had dedicated his piano sonata in C sharp minor op. 27 No. 2 to her which should become very popular by the name of Moonlight Sonata. Together with Julie Count Gallenberg later settled down in Italy but moved back to Vienna in 1822.(S.B.)
